Slat Conveyors w/Fixtures

Griffin designs and manufactures slat conveyors for light duty loads up to high capacity requirements. For the odd shaped loads where strategic location of the load is at a premium, custom fixturing for your particular product requirement can be designed by Griffin.

The slat conveyors shown, handled the same range door as being picked up by the previously mentioned gantry. The conveyor was designed in its entirety by Griffin, with the final design being dictated by the ergonomic requirements of the operators along both sides of the conveyor assembly line. The assembly operations along the line required awkward reaching by the operators across the line. By customer request, Griffin developed a turntable with a detenting feature for rotation and locking of the door at 180 degrees. The fixture was made from lightweight, yet durable, aluminum construction.

The system also features automatic rotating posts along the conveyor and at the discharge. The unique, yet simple, concept eliminated many of the ergonomic concerns.
